TOM NEWTOWN JOINS THE ASBK CHAMPIONSHIP!

Team BSP Racing is proud to announce Tom Newton (2018 New Zealand Gixxer 150 Cup Champion) will be making the jump to the Australian Superbike Paddock for the final four rounds of the season in the Supersport 300 class.

Tom is really looking forward to heading to Australia to compete in the ASBK - Australian Superbikes championship. “Competing in the 300 class is going to be a new challenge for me but with Team BSP behind me I’m confident that we can put together a good package for the remainder of the 2019 season,” Tom said.

Kawasaki BCperformance team principal Kelvin Reilly said “We are looking forward to having Tom on a BCperformance prepared Kawasaki Ninja 400, it will be interesting to see how he goes and what he can achieve.”

Team BSP General Manager Robbert Adriaansen said moving talented and skilled riders into competitions around the APAC region is firmly his focus. “I’m very happy to see Tom taking on the remaining rounds of the Australian Superbike Championship. All of us at BSP are looking forward to seeing Tom perform in those rounds. I would especially like to thank Kelvin Reilly from BCperformance for making the bike available.”

The next round of the Australian Superbike Championship will take place at Morgan Park Raceway, Queensland from 5-7 July 2019 following the winter break and tests.

We look forward to keeping you updated on Tom’s move into the ASBK paddock.
